Standard grade offers 99.0% minimum KF assay. Premium grade is a spray-dried anhydrous product with 99.5% minimum assay, lower water content and moisture-tight packaging. Premium is recommended for Halex and other moisture-sensitive fluorinations.
Water lowers the nucleophilicity of fluoride and promotes hydrolysis side reactions, so Halex users normally specify anhydrous or spray-dried KF with low water and fine particle size. Our premium grade is intended for this use.
