Standard grade offers 98.0% minimum HPLC purity. Premium grade offers 99.0% minimum with lower isomer content and moisture. Premium is recommended for o-phenylenediamine routes needing tight impurity control.
The three isomers differ in the position of the nitro group relative to the amine. Ortho (88-74-4) gives o-phenylenediamine on reduction, the intermediate for benzimidazole fungicides, while meta (99-09-2) and para (100-01-6) feed different dye routes. Order by CAS to get the isomer you need.
